Mother Emanuel AMEC is a light in the pathway of darkness. Our light shines by demonstrating the love of Jesus, the forgiveness displayed by Jesus, and the grace and mercy that God showed us.

The following scriptures are the foundation of our mission statement:

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:1-4, 13-14

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matt 5:14-16

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day he arose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

  • DE LA FE EN LA SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD

There is but one living and true God, everlasting, without body or parts, of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness; the Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. And in unity of this God-head, there are three persons, of one substance, power, and eternity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

  • DEL VERBO, O HIJO DE DIOS, QUE SE HIZO MUY HOMBRE

Of the Word, or Son of God, Who Was Made Very Man

The Son, who is the Word of the Father, the very and eternal God, of one substance with the Father, took man’s nature in the womb of the blessed Virgin; so that two whole and perfect natures, that is to say, the God-head and manhood, were joined together in one person, never to be divided; whereof is one Christ, very God and very Man, who truly suffered, was crucified, dead, and buried, to reconcile his Father to us, and to be a sacrifice, not only for original guilt, but also for the actual sins of men.

  • The Holy Scriptures containeth all things necessary to salvation; so that whatever is not read therein, nor may be proved thereby, is not to be required of any man, that it should be believed as an article of faith, or be thought requisite or necessary to salvation. In the name of the Holy Scriptures, we do understand those canonical books of the Old and New Testament, of whose authority was never any doubt in the Church.

LAS TRES "H"

2025-2026

Esperanza

Holiness

Holiness, as explained in 1 Peter 1:15–16, is a divine invitation to mirror the character of the God who has called us. It states, “just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” Holiness isn’t about being perfect, but about dedication — living a life dedicated to God’s purposes. It involves allowing God’s Spirit to influence our thoughts, desires, and actions so they align with His will. In a world that often promotes compromise, holiness calls us to live with integrity, compassion, and purity of heart. It is the daily choice to let God’s love guide how we speak, serve, and respond. As we grow in holiness, we become living mirrors of His light, showing that the grace that saves us also changes us.
