Only by meeting each other in our shared humanity can we truly reflect the kingdom of God. “There is more that unites us than divides us,” he often reminds his congregation. “And if we cannot learn to love each other now, how can we hope to inherit eternal life?”
He calls on all to turn away from the darkness of sin and to walk boldly in the light of Christ, echoing the profound truth of Scripture:
“Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning... Whoever loves his brother abides in the light... But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness...”
